Basic Aikido Class
The ongoing Basic Class picks up where the Introductory Class leaves off. A wider range of techniques are explored, tumbling skills refined, and additional exercvises in mind/body integration introduced and practiced. Course material in the class prepares students for their first few rank examinations. The curriculum includes:
- Posture & Breathing
- Warm-up Exercises
- Body Movement and Coordination Exercises
- Tumbling and Safe Falling Skills
- Strikes
- Basic Self-Defense Techniques
Students attending this class are also encouraged to attend, Mixed Rank and Weapons classes.
This course is ongoing and part of the standard dojo membership fee.
